LUTA LIVRE

Luta Livre, is a fighting style derived from Catch Wrestling, ancestor of the current Olympic free wrestling, created by Euclydes Hatem in Rio de Janeiro.

Like Catch Wrestling it includes both standing and ground wrestling and includes a large number of techniques.

The techniques used are focused first on immobilization ( pinning ) and the subsequent submission of the opponent through levers in the limbs ( armbar, leglock, heelhook) , joint twisting (neck-crank) .

It is a complete discipline on a technical and physical level as well as an excellent base for athletes who engage in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

Sergio Gabba is a FIJLKAM athlete and trainer of Olympic Free Wrestling and Luta Livre instructor of the Luta Livre Italia team under the master Andrea Lavaggi.
